Business bringing healthy options to Bucyrus
BUCYRUS – The Oasis Yoga studio is partnering with Fit Fab Fun to open a joint location in Downtown Bucyrus.
Located in the former U Be Dazzled store, the location is under construction but is expected to be completed next month.
“We’re shooting for a first Friday opening,” said owner of The Oasis, Emily Keller.
The location will have yoga classes offered in the back and will have Diana Shroll’s business in the front. The front area will have healthy eating options such as wraps and smoothies for sale as well as yoga apparel.
“I think my main motivation for bringing Fit Fab Fun to Bucyrus is to promote a healthier lifestyle,” Shroll said.
Keller, a Bucyrus native, has been wanting to bring yoga to her hometown for some time. She currently runs a location adjacent to The Fitness Warehouse in Galion, owned by her boyfriend, Wes Kochheiser. She is also a personal trainer at the Fitness Warehouse.
“I’m very passionate about it,” she said.
Keller said that she plans to start with the same classes that she offers currently in Galion at the new location. She currently has beginner’s yoga, HIIT yoga and a late-night yoga class.
Prices are being finalized, but she said that classes are typically offered in packages. She also plans to keep her classes small and intimate as well. She said she’s talked to city about taking classes into the parks when the weather is nice.
“It’s kind of fun, like we’re a little family,” she said.
Scholl said that being a client at the Fitness Warehouse, where she met Keller and Kochheiser, made her passionate about fitness and hopes to bring that to others.
“I know what that has done for me,” she said on working out.
