Get The Thrill Of The Fight In Fitness Boxing, Coming Exclusively To Nintendo Switch January 4
Nintendo has announced Fitness Boxing, a boxing-themed workout game coming exclusively to the Nintendo Switch on January 4, 2019, according to a press release from the publisher.
Fitness Boxing is a game that will let players unleash their inner Rocky with invigorating workouts backed with some pretty sweet tunes. The game’s available tracks will include instrumental versions of LMFAO’s Party Rock Anthem, Maroon 5’s Sugar, and 20 other unlockable songs. You’ll be guided along by a variety of different trainers, each with their own distinct looks that you can customize further with unlockable trainer outfits.
Players can take advantage of fitness regimens ranging from 10-40 minutes in both Normal and Fast modes. Much like other fitness software, it can estimate your approximate BMI and calories burned so you can keep track of your progress as you punch your way to better health using a pair of Joy-Cons. The game’s difficulty will start off comparatively light, but progressing through the different routines will unlock more challenging exercise options for you to power through.
You won’t have to go it alone, either. Fitness Boxing can be played cooperatively or competitively with a friend using two sets of Joy Cons or sharing a pair between you. The game is also well-equipped for exercise nuts on the go – it features full tabletop mode support if you’d prefer to get a little fresh air with your exercise. (Just be careful not to pull a Wii and chuck one of the controllers into an unsuspecting bystander.)
If Fitness Boxing sounds like your kind of jam, you can pre-order it on Amazon for $49.99 or your regional equivalent. You can read more about the game by heading over to its eShop page. Fitness Boxing releases exclusively on the Nintendo Switch on January 4, 2019.
