Avert swimming or walking through flash flood water in order to avoid contaminants and pathogens.

Protect open wounds against flash flood water by covering them with a waterproof dressing.

Make sure you are putting on protective dresses, gloves, masks and safety boots while sweeping rainwater to avoid pests, harmful insects and rodents hiding places, This will help prevent potential infection and also stinging and biting.

Dry off the wet parts of the house (the interior ceilings of the rooms, the walls and the furniture) to avoid fungi growth.
