Taste of My Town: Fruition
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Fruition opened just in time to add some really healthy options to Eastown this summer.
“We wanted to bring something healthy and fast to Eastown,” said co-owner Lindsey Sayles.

With a name like Fruition, of course fruit is the star of the menu. The feature ingredient is frozen and pureed açaí berries.
“It’s a super powerful anti-oxidant berry in itself,” added Sayles. “It’s 99 percent frozen berry and add 0.5 percent organic cane sugar to it, so it’s super healthy. You’re getting an ice cream bowl but with all the health benefits.”
The açaí berry is chalk-full of health benefits, and added to the açaí bowls is lots of fruit and other healthy add-ons.

Sisters Lindsey and Leah Sayles opened Fruition after spending time in Florida, where the açaí bowl is more common. Both Lindsey and Leah previously held other health-related jobs.
“We grew up in a really health-conscious family,” said Lindsey. “I went into health care, she [Leah] went into skin care.”

And their menu promotes health in full. Other items on the menu include smoothies, fresh-pressed juices, wraps, toasts and bagels.
